“In early December I was reading something I’d received in the mail that talked about reverse mortgages. I decided to see what they were all about, and the first company I called was Sr. Lending LLC. I was put in touch with John DiBenedetto who explained the mortgage and benefits in general and emailed me more details.
Initially, I was hesitant to get an HECM (Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, which is a type of reverse mortgage, and is insured by FHA).
While I was debating, I talked to my friends, asking them what they knew, and one of them referred me to a close friend of hers that had recently closed on a reverse mortgage.
I called her friend and she said the experience she’d had was easy and that the company she’d worked with treated her well. I asked her for the name of the company she’d worked with, and was surprised and delighted to hear that she’d worked with Sr. Lending LLC.
Well, that was all I needed to hear— I filled out the paperwork in early December and today I closed!
Throughout the process, John was always just a phone call away. He was extremely helpful, he answered any questions I had, and he kept me up-to-date on next steps.
